Our Story

For us, ELEMENTS OF ARUBA was beginning of 2018 a big new step across the ocean. A step we’ve wanted to make before, but one we were only able to make in 2017.

Our three sons are now on their own and think of the world as their playing field. We were able to slowly step down from our consultancy practice and get ready for this adventure.

With our bare feet in the sand in Thailand, where we were on vacation at  Boutique Hotel Kamala Dreams of a cousin of Ineke and his wife, we decided to give our life a different spin at the start of 2017.

This was the right moment, our moment. We want to work towards a simpler and brighter way of life and use our qualities in a new and different way.

We looked for the right spot to do that. We’ve already done that earlier. Before our boys were born – and later on, when they were little – we wanted to take over a campsite in France, and even later on a holiday park on Curaçao. Those opportunities passed us by then.

Now, after purchasing ELEMENTS OF ARUBA, we have found the place where we can use our hospitality for a pure and intense holiday experience. Where our guests can count on our attention, with plenty of space for peace and a personal interpretation of their stay.

However, ELEMENTS OF ARUBA is also the new, sunny ‘home’ for our family and friends.

With her passion for interior design, Ineke added a Scandinavian basic touch to the Caribbean setting of ELEMENTS OF ARUBA.

Our preference for simplicity and comfort and for art and design can be sensed in every space, inside and out. That’s how we’ve added a modern look and feel to our accommodation.

Frank will happily use his sportive qualities and organisational skills to spot the right activities for our guests or accompany them.

We like to give you tips on the famous and lesser-known places on the Happy Island. We particularly prefer to visit the spots that are not (yet) in the tourist guides and pass them on to our guests. We increasingly consider ourselves “Aruba promoters”.

ELEMENTS OF ARUBA is a boutique holiday accommodation where you will feel at home on Aruba. A lovely, calm place to get to know life on the island in all its facets.
